1985 USA Charleston Mint Great Smoky Mountains Bronze Coin with Original Pamphlet (Issues)
The Great Smoky Mountains, a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, divide Tennessee from North Carolina in the southwestern USA. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, one of the largest National Parks in the eastern United States, protects most of it. This bronze coin, produced by the Charleston Mint, celebrates the majestic natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains with a line of bears traversing the wilderness on the reverse and a Native American in profile on the obverse. It comes attached to its original pamphlet, which includes the original informational printout stapled inside.
Please note, while the token is in good shape, the pamphlet is showing its age. It has discoloured somewhat and has some residue along the spine, and the internal information sheet has bled ink onto itself -- probably a product of moisture. See images for details.
