Canadian Ambassador Kenneth Bronze Taylor Medal
This medal commemorates Kenneth Taylor, a Canadian diplomat best known for his role in the 1979 covert operation known as the "Canadian Caper." During his time as Canadian ambassador to Iran, and in cooperation with the American CIA, Taylor helped six American diplomats escape from Iran during the Iran Hostage Crisis. He secured Canadian passports for the Americans, enabling them to pose as a Canadian film crew scouting locations, successfully deceiving Iranian authorities. The daring mission was later dramatized in the 2012 film Argo. The medal comes in a case with writing and shows some wear and tear. Image is an example of what you will receive.
