1968 Shell's Mr. President Coin Game Piece: Calvin Coolidge
Throughout 1968, Shell Oil ran the promotional Mr. President Coin Game. With each visit to a participating Shell gas station, players received a paper packet containing either an "instant winner" token or one of thirty-nine aluminum presidential coins. You then placed your coin into the matching space on an official game card, which was divided into sections. If you managed to fill your card with the presidents of any one section, you won the associated prize. Still sought after by collectors trying to finish the set, each medal features a bust of the president on the obverse and the text "SHELL'S MR. PRESIDENT COIN GAME" on the reverse.
