1911 Borough of Burnley Jubilee / King George V Coronation Medal with Ribbon
1911 was a big year for the Borough of Burnley, located in Lancashire, England. It was the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary. It was also Burnley's Golden Jubilee, as the town had been officially founded as a municipal borough in 1861. Many coronation medals similar to this one exist, but the Burnley medal is unique in that it serves a dual purpose. The original ribbon and pin are still attached.
