1965 Sudbury, ON, Canadian Centennial Numismatic Park Churchill Token (Version 2)
The Canadian Centennial Numismatic Park was a popular spot for tourists in Sudbury, Ontario. Opened in the run-up to Canada's Centennial celebration, the park featured giant replicas of Canadian and American coins (of which only the Big Nickel remains). Various novelty coins and tokens were offered as souvenirs, including this one, which honoured the recently deceased British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Two versions exist, differentiated by the location of the dates on the obverse.
