Lot of 4x 2008-2010 Canada $4 Dinosaur Collection Fine Silver ICCS Certified PF67 UHC, 4pcs (No Tax)
In the time of the dinosaurs, a massive inland sea covered much of western Canada. The area that is now Alberta and Saskatchewan was a lush subtropical shore, home to dozens of dinosaur species. As these animals died, the evolving landscape covered their bones with millions of years of mud, sand, and ice, only to be peeled back and revealed when the last glaciers of the Ice Age retreated, scraping away the rock and exposing fossilized bone.
The Royal Canadian Mint's popular Dinosaur collection features some of the many dinosaurs discovered in Canada. Each reverse features a representation of a dinosaur in situ, with a unique finishing process applied to give it the look of dirt and fossilized bone. All designs were approved by the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, and each half-ounce coin is composed of 99.99% fine silver. This collection, which includes Triceratops (2008), T-Rex (2009), Euoplocephalus (2010), and Dromaeosaurus (2010. Each has been graded PF67 by ICCS.
