The HMCS Yellowknife is a coastal defence vessel that has served in the Canadian Forces since 1998, when this token was minted to celebrate her commission. The obverse depicts the ship with her emblem (a songbird with a sword). The reverse shows the iconic Wildlife Cafe, a dogsled team, and a bush plane. The token was good for $2 in 1998.
