In 2020, the Royal Canadian Mint released the first-ever Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin struck at the Winnipeg facility. The distinctive "W" mint mark and burnished, matte finish set it apart. The 2021 release features the same design and "W" mint mark, but with a new tailored specimen finish inspired by the Winnipeg facility's striking exterior.
