India 1804 1/2 Pice Very Fine (VF-20) $

The territories governed by the East India Company were divided into three major administrative regions: Madras Presidency in the south, Bengal Presidency in the east and the Bombay Presidency in the west. Each of the three presidencies of the East India Company minted its own distinct coins, and the 1804 1/2 Pice was issued by the Bombay Presidency. This continued until a unified coinage system was introduced in 1835. 

Obverse: Coat of Arms of the East India Company, with the legend EAST INDIA COMPANY around, a ribbon bearing the legend AUSPICIO REGIS ET SENATUS ANGLIA and date below, all within a raised toothed rim.
Reverse: A balanced set of scales in the centre, legend in Persian (ADIL) between, with the date below, all within a raised toothed rim.
