1937 King George VI & Elizabeth Overlapping Effigies: Crowned May 12th Coronation Medal
One of many different coronation medals minted to celebrate the 1937 coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The obverse features their overlapping effigies, whilst the reverse displays a crown, crossed scepters, and globus cruciger with the inscription, "CROWNED MAY 12th 1937." The top of the medal has a loop, presumably to attach to a ribbon.
