This lovely, 22-carat-gold-plated example spotlights Winchester Cathedral, one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Europe. Constructed over nearly five centuries and completed in the soaring Perpendicular Gothic style of the Late Middle Ages, Winchester Cathedral is one of the largest, longest, and most beautiful buildings of its kind. It has been the mother church of the Diocese of Winchester in the Church of England since its foundation, and is today a both a centre of worship and a visitor attraction with a diverse educational and entertainment program.
