Vintage Alcock & Brown "Dauntless Two" First Transatlantic Flight Token
This token celebrates the first transatlantic flight, made by British aviators John Alcock and Arthur Brown on June 14, 1919. The flight took sixteen hours and ended with the plane nose-down in an Irish peat bog, but it was a historic moment in aviation nonetheless. This token features a detailed engraving of Alcock and Brown's aircraft, a modified Vickers Vimy heavy bomber biplane, whilst the obverse reads "THE DAUNTLESS TWO - CAPT. JOHN ALCOCK - LT. A.W. BROWN."
