These souvenir medallions from the Royal Air Force Museum feature three pioneers of aviation: Captain Jean-Marie-Joseph Coutelle, first military aviator; Major Francesco Baracca, WWI flying ace; and Rittmeister August Raft von Marwil, commander of the first international airmail service. Each copper medallion features a portrait of the pilot and his aircraft on the reverse, and his name and achievements on the obverse.
