Vintage USA Walt Disney World Souvenir Medallion

Located just south of Orlando, Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971 to resounding, worldwide success. Originally opened as an approximate clone of Disneyland in California, Disney World has grown to encompass four theme parks, two water parks, and an array of golf courses, sports complexes, conference centres, an entire shopping and dining district, and more than 30 resort hotels.

Souvenir medallions have been popular Disney Parks memorabilia for decades. Celebrating parks, characters, and individual attractions, there are dozens upon dozens of designs to collect. This one centres on Cinderella Castle, the icon of Disney World's oldest theme park: the Magic Kingdom. The reverse features the six areas that make up the Magic Kingdom: Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square.
