Lot of 4x 1987-1990 Great Britain £1 Sterling Silver Proof Coins in Cases, 4Pcs.
The coins are scratched and have varying amounts of toning – at the most, a rainbow effect visible amid the sheen of the coin, which is not at all unappealing. Two of the cases' back edges, two of the CoAs, and two capsules' sides have writing on them: the coin name, the date, and/or a number. The capsules may also have scratches. Nevertheless, the coins retain much visual appeal. Each represents one of the constituent nations, or the whole, of the United Kingdom, part of a cycle beginning in 1984 and repeated beginning in 1989. Each coin consists of 9.5 grams of .925 silver, for about 1.13oz. pure silver content altogether. Includes:
• 1987 English Oak (rainbow toning on obverse)
• 1988 Royal Arms (light spots)
• 1989 Scottish Thistle (may have a bit of light toning)
• 1990 Welsh Leek (rainbow toning)
