This Desert Scorpion is the third coin in the Australia's "Most Dangerous" bullion series featuring Australia's most dangerous animals joining that of the Redback Spider and Great White Shark.

Desert Scorpions are found in Australia interior and have a yellow to reddish-brown stout body. These scorpions protect themselves from scorching heat by digging a deep spiral burrow up to 1m deep. The reverse of this 1oz coin features depicts a scorpion on top of sand in the Australian desert. While the obverse features Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the face value.
