2021 Cayman Islands $1 Marlin 1oz. .999 Silver (No Tax)

In partnership with the Cayman Islands, Scottsdale Mint has produced the fifth release in the Cayman Islands Marlin Series. This 2021 addition features a Marlin fish swimming within the ocean. This 1oz Marlin coin holds a limited mintage of only 50,000 coins.

The reverse of this 1oz coin depicts a Marlin fish jumping out the rippling water below. The background of the coin features waves of water that both look and feel like the waters surface. Its long bill is vividly portrayed across the coin, recreating the effect of the Marlin using its bill as a weapon to stun or injure its prey. Surrounding the marlin is a nautical rope border with the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II surmounted by St. Edward's Crown. The obverse illustrates the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II above rippling water. Accompanying this image is the inscription "Cayman Islands" and "2021". Both obverse and reverse rims feature wavy radial lines making the coins harder to duplicate and provide a measure of security.
