2003 Annual Report
In 2008, the Royal Canadian Mint will mark its centennial - 100 years of striking coins for Canada and the world. Leading up to this milestone, the 2003 Annual Report will feature a limited mintage numismatic coin - the first issue in the five-year Annual Report Coin Collectables celebrating our leading denominations and/or metals. In addition, each annual report will be serialized and personally signed by the President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.
This is a collecting opportunity not to be missed. First up: the cherished maple leaf one-cent coin! This series begins with a celebration of one of the most widely produced circulation coins - the one-cent coin. Its maple leaf design that Canadians have cherished since it was first introduced 60 years ago features selective gold plating to accentuate the beauty of this internationally renowned symbol. Only 10,000 of these proof coins will be minted!
