This coin collection contains Proof versions of the circulating range of United Kingdom coins for 1998. Included in this magnificent set is the £5 coin struck to commemorate the fiftieth birthday of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales featuring a design celebrating the work of The Prince's Trust. The collection also houses two versions of the new smaller fifty pence, one featuring the traditional design of Britannia while the other commemorates the United Kingdom's 25th year as a member of the European Union. A new portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley is featured on the obverse of each coin.
