1970 Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital Opened by Governor General Michener Medallion. As the medallion indicates, the hospital had existed for 75 years, but in 1970 new construction led to an opening ceremony by the Governor General, Roland Michener. Originally the Berlin-Waterloo Hospital, it is now one of two campuses of Grand River Hospital.
