1953 Small Date Shoulder Strap Rotated Dies Canada 25-cents Brilliant Uncirculated (MS-63)
Two obverse varieties, called the No Shoulder Strap (or Fold) and the Shoulder Strap (or Fold) variety obverses saw use duing 1953. On the 25-cents, these obverses are combined with reverses that are easily distinguishable. The No Shoulder Strap obverse comes with a Large Date reverse, while the Shoulder Strap was used with a Small Date reverse.
