Description

1988 Canada Brilliant Uncirculated .50 Silver Dollar Commemorating the Saint-Maurice Ironworks

The Saint-Maurice Ironworks in the Province of Quebec is a pioneer in Canada's ironworks industry. It is the country's first industrial community that was established while the fur trade, agriculture, as well as logging ruled the economy. This entity is commemorated in this Saint-Maurice Ironworks Brilliant Uncirculated 1988 Dollar Coin. The reverse design of the coin is created by Robert-Ralph Carmichael of Ontario and depicts two ironworkers producing iron and cast-iron objects. The obverse comes with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As is typical, this coin may have light toning, and the outer cardboard sleeve may have some wear.
