This 2015 $3 100th Anniversary of In Flanders Fields silver coin pays tribute to one of history's most iconic wartime poems. Written during the First World War by Canadian physician Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, it was written to give voice to approximately 60,000 Canadians who lost their lives during this historic armed conflict.

Designed by Canadian artist Laurie McGaw, the coin depicts Lieutenant Colonel Joh McCrae as he composes his poem in beautiful detail.
