2013 Canada $10 Vintage Superman 1/4oz. Fine Silver (Tax Exempt)

The iconic image of Superman breaking chains has been shown countless times throughout Superman's history. In honour of Superman's 75th anniversary, and as an Official Licensee of DC Comics, the Royal Canadian Mint faithfully recreated this iconic image drawn by Canadian Joe Shuster.
This $10 coin is certified to be 99.99% pure silver with a diameter of 27 millimetres and a metal weight of 7.96 grams. The reverse image, provided by DC Comics/Warner Brothers, features a vintage Superman breaking his bonds. The reverse is engraved with the word 'CANADA,' the date '2013' and the face value of '10 DOLLARS,' as well as 'SUPERMAN' in the fictitious Kryptonian language from Superman's home planet. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
