Since its release 50 years ago Hot Wheels has become a worldwide phenomenon. Generations of children and adults have delighted in the grand total of four billion die cast vehicles that have been made following the first Hot Wheels zooming off the production line in 1968.

As well as collecting and trading them, racing Hot Wheels cars and doing loop-the-loops on their famous orange tracks goes to the heart of their extraordinary popularity. Rev up your collection now with this limited edition pure silver coin, which has been crafted with the same attention to detail as the replica cars, trucks and vans.

The coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.

The coin depicts two Hot Wheels cars in the vibrant colour that has helped make the model vehicles so popular, along with the Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary logo. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark is also included in the design.

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s obverse.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 50 Years of Hot Wheels 2018 1oz Silver Proof Coin.

The coin is housed in a clear acrylic display case and comes in a themed shipper. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
