2015 Australia Lunar Good Fortune WEALTH Year of the Goat (TAX Exempt)
Celebrating the Year of the Goat and the ideal of good fortune, this stunning 1oz silver proof coin is released to encourage wealth and is a prestigious and exceptionally limited offering from The Perth Mint.
In ancient Greek and Roman mythology, the cornucopia or the 'horn of plenty' is symbolic of fertility, prosperity, fortune and abundance. The horn-shaped container, similar to a shell, is often depicted overflowing with produce, flowers, nuts, gold and other treasures.
Each coin is meticulously struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin's reverse depicts a coloured representation of a goat standing in an enormous pile of gold coins and other riches. The gold has spilled forth out of a cornucopia, signifying bounty and wealth. The inscriptions WEALTH and 2015 YEAR OF THE GOAT also appear in the design with The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2015 year-date, and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of the coin.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Lunar Good Fortune 2015 Year of the Goat - Wealth 1oz Silver Proof Coin.
Each coin is housed in a classic display case with a colourful illustrated shipper.
