In M?ori folklore, the saddleback (or t?eke) got his stripe from the demigod Maui, who seized him with his fiery hand when the cheeky bird pretended not to hear his request for water. Seven coins are included in the set: 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, 2 dollars, and a special sterling silver 5 dollar coin that features a detailed engraving of a saddleback. Every coin features a beautiful, eye-catching proof finish and comes attractively presented in a sturdy folder.
