375-12-06 1910 Imperial Bank of Canada $5 Various-Wilkie, PMG Certified VF-20 (Annotation)
Unusually, the Imperial Bank of Canada (the ‘IB’ in today’s CIBC) had its notes of 1902-1910 printed by Waterlow & Sons of London, England. Thirty-three are known. A younger Edward VIII (1910 was his 17th year) peers out from the front. The lathework around the counters on the back looks almost like many-faceted jewels. This, too, is a jewel of a note for the collector of heritage paper money. Has light blue writing on the front of the note. Worth a good look!
