Ancient Greece 386-338BC Test Cut Lion/Squares Chersonesos Thrace AR Hemidrachm Very Fine (VF-20)

Obverse: Forepart of a lion with head turned back to the left.
Reverse: Incuse squares.

Chersonesos was an ancient Greek town in Thrace. It was situated in what is today called the Gallipoli peninsula, near to Cardia, in what is now European Turkey.
Notable Kings during this time period include Amadocus II, who ruled this area of central Thrace from 360 to circa 351 BC, and Teres II who was King from 351BC to 341BC.
