Lot of 5x Canada & Britain WWII Medals with Ribbons, 5Pcs (Lightly Toned). Includes 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal (non-silver), Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (non-silver), and War Medal 1939-1945 (non-silver). The colour plating on the two Stars has worn off.

Please note: These medals are most likely official replacements for the originals. The Defence Medal, War Medal, and CVSM were struck in silver for Canadian recipients, but these are not silver. Our understanding is that if a recipient lost their medals, the government would replace them, but not in the original silver. (The first two were also struck in cupronickel for British recipients.) Because the two Stars in this set were plated instead of made of solid alloy as normal, we speculate that they are replacements also.
