1984 Canada Toronto's Sesquicentennial Proof Double Dollar Set

This 1984 Canada Sesquicentennial Proof Double Dollar set from the Royal Canadian Mint contains all coins in circulation during the year, including the special dollar coin commemorating the incorporation of the city of Toronto. In 1834, Toronto, with a population of approximately 9,000 was incorporated as a city. Later after this development, it continued to grow rapidly until it turned into a flourishing city.

The coin has a reverse design by Toronto artist David Craig and depicts an Indigenous person riding a canoe in the foreground and an image of the city of Toronto in the background. All coins in the set come presented in a case along with a certificate of authenticity.

Set comes in a black case with red satin interior.
