Description

1982 Canada Brilliant Uncirculated Dollar commemorating the founding of Regina.

The city of Regina is the capital and the largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. Originally a hunter's camp, Regina was once named as Pile O'Bones due to the heaps of bones that were left there after buffalos were skinned and cut. After World War II, the city of Regina experienced a drastic expansion to become a major hub of transportation, agriculture, and manufacture. Released by the Royal Canadian this 1982 Canada Founding of Regina Brilliant Uncirculated Dollar is made from 50% silver and 50% copper. The reverse features a bison skull with the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in the background and was designed by Huntley Brown. The obverse comes with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This would be a great addition to any coin collection.
