NS-1D3 1832 Nova Scotia George IV Half Penny Thistle Token ICCS Certified EF-40

The colonial government placed an order for 800,000 halfpennies in 1832. The order requested tokens of similar desin to those previously sent with a new date added. The manufacturer, following instructions, struck the tokens with an obverse bust of George IV and reverse dated 1832, even though William IV became king two years earlier.

NS-1D3 Variety: The laurel ribbons are equal length, the edge is engrailed.
