2017 Australia $1 Year of the Rooster High Relief 1oz Silver (TAX Exempt)

Celebrating the tenth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, the rooster, this exquisite offering from the Year of the Rooster Lunar Silver Coin Series II is struck in brilliant high relief.

Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.

The reverse of the coin depicts a rooster, a hen, and three chicks standing amongst bamboo foliage and flowers. The Chinese character for 'rooster' and the inscription 'Year of the Rooster' also appear in the design with The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark. The coins high relief reverse and obverse are minted.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2017 year-date, and the Denomination are shown on each coin's obverse.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 7,500 of the 2017 Year of the Rooster 1oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin.

Each coin is housed in a classic black and red display case and illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
