2017 Australia Chinese New Year Dragon 1 oz. Silver Coin (TAX Exempt)

This silver coloured coin celebrates the dragon, a well-recognised symbol of Chinese culture believed to bring good luck. It is also considered to be a symbol of power, strength, wealth, and good fortune.

Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99%pure silver.
The reverse of the coin features a dragon draped around a red lantern with a celebratory red banner running down the length of the coin depicting the Chinese characters for 'Happy New Year'. The design also features The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Chinese New Year Dragon 2017 1oz Silver Coin.

Each coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2017 year-date on the obverse.
The coin is housed in a clear latex display case with a black frame and packaged in a themed shipper. The coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate.
