Known colloquially as the "twoonie", the Canadian Canada Two Dollar coin was first introduced in 1996, replacing the Canada Two Dollar bill. Designed by artist Brent Townsend, the twoonie depicts an adult polar bear.

This coin was carefully removed from the 2022 Alexander Graham Bell: Great Inventor Fine Silver Proof Set, and is available for you as an individual coin.

Features:
A special locking mechanism allows the outer ring and the core to stay locked together. This patented mechanism was been developed by the Royal Canadian Mint.

The coin is made of pure alloy material and the manufacturing process requires specialized equipment.
