2022 P Tennessee USA American Innovation Dollar Uncirculated (MS-60)

The fourth release of the 2022 American Innovation $1 Coin represents the formation of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Congress created the TVA in 1933 to construct transmission lines to serve farms and villages that were not otherwise supplied with electricity at reasonable rates.

The obverse design depicts a Tennessee farm accompanied by newly installed power lines along the road. Accompanying this image are the following inscriptions: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY," and "TENNESSEE."

The reverse design features a dramatic representation of the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” It also includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, representing industry and innovation.
