2018 Niue $1 Star Wars A New Hope - Princess Leia Organa 5g Silver Coin Note (No Tax)
Before being taken prisoner by Vader, Princess Leia manages to hide the Death Star plans and a distress message in the droid R2-D2 for delivery to Obi-Wan Kenobi. After fierce interrogation and a daring rescue, she escapes on the Millennium Falcon -- although Leia has little patience for Han Solo's bravado!
Princess Leia and her rescuers rendezvous with the Rebel Alliance on Yavin 4, where she delivers the vital plans. When the attack on the Death Star begins, Leia monitors the victorious battle from the command centre and later presents medals for bravery to Han, Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker.
The fearless Princess Leia features on the fourth striking 5g pure silver coin note in the Star Wars: A New Hope Collection.
Coloured and engraved with the movie's logo and two images of Princess Leia, each note contains its unique number in the mintage and is presented in a protective sleeve which includes details of the note's authenticity.
The note's obverse has the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.
