2021 USA Proof Set
The 2021 United States Mint Proof Set features 7 proof coins encased in two clear plastic lenses in a beautifully designed package. (Minor toning, sleeve and case my have light wear). One of the U.S. Mint's signature products, it makes a great addition to any collection or the perfect gift for a special occasion. With sharp relief and mirror-like backgrounds, U.S. Mint proof coins have frosted, sculpted foregrounds, giving them a special cameo effect.
The 2021 edition of the United States Mint Proof Set includes the following coins:
- The final quarter in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program, the Tuskegee Airmen (TA).
- One General George Washington Crossing the Delaware Quarter. The obverse features George Washington by John Flanagan as seen on the quarter from 1932 to 1998; however this version contains a larger portrait and higher relief. The inscriptions read, "Liberty", "In God We Trust" and "2021" The reverse illustrates George Washington, prior to the Battle of Trenton (during the American Revolutionary War), leading his troops through the ice-chilling waters of the Delaware River. The inscriptions read, "United States of America," "E Pluribus Unum", "Crossing the Delaware" and "Quarter Dollar".
- One Native American $1 Coin with a reverse design featuring two eagle feathers, which were traditionally reward to those who were in battle or performed a brave deed. Eagle feathers are treasured and are often displayed proudly in one's home. In the foreground are stars which represent the five branches of the US Military. A circle, which holds deep meaning to Native Americans, surrounds all of these elements. Inscriptions include: "Native Americans - Distinguished Military Service Since 1775," "$1," and "United States of America".
