Victoria Obverse 5: Bust Line: The most dramatic diagnostic point for a Variety 5 is the location of the point of the bust line, which falls to the serif of "C" in CANADA. Crown, Hair, & Eye Detail: There is a very small strand of hair below the crown. The upper eyelid is thin and long, extending well back into the temple. Lip and Chin Detail: The upper lip has a pronounced curl and falls with a slight curve out from the nostril. An aging chin show definite doubling lines. Right Ribbon End Detail: The right ribbon end has a lazy "U" shape with equal arms. Dates: Portrait Obverse 5 is currently known on the 1886, 1887, 1888, 1889, 1890H, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1899, 1900, and 1901 25-cents.
