Description

1968 Canada 50-cent Original Roll of 20 pcs

Canada's Coat of Arms was officially proclaimed by King George V in 1921 as a representation as well as a symbol of Canada and its political roots. Because of its significance to the country, it is featured in the 50-cents coin. The coin honours England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, which are the four founding nations of the great country of Canada. The 1968 coin features a design that was created by Canadian Mint engraver Thomas Shingles, which was first used in 1959. The obverse comes with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara and a Latin inscription that translates "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen." Putting the said factors into consideration, the Coat of Arms is rich in history and this Canada Original 1968 Roll of 50-Cent coins including 20 pieces is perfect if you want to inject a sense of historical value into your collection.
