The official 10-coin United States Mint Proof Set for 2002 will soon be available. The set includes all five proof quarters issued under the 50 State Quarters Program for 2001 (Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, Indiana & Mississippi ), plus the proof Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half-dollar and Golden Dollar. To achieve their striking beauty, proof coin blanks are fed into presses fitted with highly polished dies. Then, each coin is struck at least twice to ensure fine detail. The result is a frosted image that appears on a mirror-like background.
