2017 Niue $2 One Day At A Time Crystal Coin, Minted by the New Zealand Mint (TAX Exempt)
New Zealand Mint is pleased to present a limited quantity of this stunning Crystal Coin from the Czech Mint. Its name is "One Day at a Time " - supporting its theme of "Live for the moment." The talented medallist Petra Kobrlová, DiS., has chosen a hot air balloon to reflect this theme - a symbol of freedom, excitement, adventure and a journey into the unknown. Just like the balloon, each of us should, from time to time, get carried away by the wind to see where fate takes us... The silver relief is complemented by a cut crystal stone, which replaces the part of the balloon that holds the hot air. This traditional Czech glass is an essential feature of the Crystal Coin series. The world famous Jablonec company Preciosa has taken extreme care in the processing of the crystal component. The coin reverse also features another smaller balloon, a directional compass rose in the background and the words ONE DAY AT A TIME. Issued by Niue, the obverse of the coin bears the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, 2017, and the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD). The coin packaging is refined and elegant, and the inner packaging doubles as a frame for displaying the coin.
