2018 Australia Year of the Dog Silver Proof 4-coin Typeset (TAX Exempt)
2018 is the Year of the Dog, the 11th animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. This stunning silver set collection showcases four different coloured dog designs which link together to form one scene. The birth dates for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar dog include 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 and 2018. Those born under this sign are said to be loyal, amiable, kind and friendly.
Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.
The reverse of each coin celebrates the 2018 Year of the Dog with four different coloured designs showcasing a British bulldog, a chow chow, a dalmatian and a pekingese. The Chinese character for 'dog' and The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark are also included in the design.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on each coin's obverse. The Perth Mint will release no more than 3,000 of the Lunar Calendar Series 2018 Year of the Dog 1oz Silver Proof Four-Coin Set.
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the four-coin set is housed in a contemporary black framed clear display case, allowing you to see both the reverse and obverse of each coin, and is packaged in an illustrated shipper.
